Welcome to Dev Pursuits! My name is Jake. I'm a software engineer who has been working professoinally for over 17 years. I have learned a ton about technology, business and life in that span and this is where I'll share all of that with you.

I was fortunate enough to find something that I loved at a relatively early age. I knew that Computer Science was going to be my major as soon as I got to college. But even then, I had to work hard. I learned along the way that hard work and constant refinement of one's craft are required to achieve true success.

This is the place where I'll share my stories, advice and philosophies that I've built up over time. By sharing them with you I am hoping to help you achieve success in your software career!
